At the “Changemakers in Luxury Fashion” event, organised by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) and Zalando, Alfonso Dolce, CEO of Dolce&Gabbana, received recognition as a “changemaker” in the “Craftsmanship” category.

At the event, which took place at the Biblioteca Braidense di Brera in Milan and was attended by Carlo Capasa, the president of CNMI, David Schneider, the co-CEO of Zalando, and leading visionaries in Italian and international fashion, Alfonso Dolce, CEO of Dolce&Gabbana, shared his vision for craftsmanship in his acceptance speech. He spoke about the initiatives implemented to promote artisanal skills and their transmission to the next generation.

“In line with a path of conscious growth embarked upon some time ago, Dolce&Gabbana’s commitment has further evolved in the realm of social and environmental sustainability, aiming to solidify a distinctive position in the industry by promoting the culture, craftsmanship, and traditions of Made in Italy. They encourage younger generations to engage with the local community and contribute to social value creation. This significant recognition honours us and urges us to strive for even better in the future. For us, ‘Fatto A Mano’ is not merely a production method or a communication concept but a way of operating that permeates our reality on multiple levels”
