The skyscrapers and sidewalks of the world’s cities will be blooming with wildflowers thanks to Dolce&Gabbana this Spring. The Summer 2016 collection comprises a selection of 50s and 60s inspired shapes printed with beautiful poppy and daisy prints which evoke the sights and smells of the countryside in Springtime.
The timeless shapes of the sundresses and suits are rooted in the ladylike elegance of 50s and 60s, yet the range of outfits and uses allows the collection to keep up with the needs of the modern woman.
From elongated silhouettes created by the printed off white silk brocade column midi skirts matched to boxy jackets, for a floral day at the office, to leggings and tunic ensembles apt for a relaxed weekend brunch. There is no shortage of pretty dresses with flared skirts, as well as bloomers and sheer tops for the more daring amongst us. The cropped wide leg trousers, the must have item of 2016, takes on a fresh feel thanks to the floral print, as does the slouchy bomber jacket.
