Dolce&Gabbana, known for its commitment to nurturing fresh creative talents, has selected Susan Fang as the latest designer to benefit from its “Supported by Dolce&Gabbana” initiative. The program, developed in collaboration with fashion visionary Katie Grand, has previously shone the spotlight on emerging designers such as Miss Sohee, Matty Bovan, Tomo Koizumi, Karoline Vitto and Feben.
This year, with the endorsement of the Shanghai Fashion Designers Association (SFDA) and the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), Susan Fang presented her latest collection at Milan Fashion Week 2025.
Susan Fang, who launched her eponymous label in 2017 after graduating from London’s Central Saint Martins, is celebrated for her ethereal designs that blend pastel shades, fractal patterns, lightweight fabrics, and sustainable practices. Her unique approach, which combines nature-inspired aesthetics and innovative techniques, has garnered attention from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, resonating with the brand’s DNA.

Dolce&Gabbana has been intimately involved in every aspect of Susan Fang’s project, from supplying fabrics to hosting her runway show at their location in Via Broggi, 23, Milan. This backing has allowed the designer to fully explore her creative vision, culminating in a collection with a unique charm.
The collection draws inspiration from memories of the oil painting of the designer’s mother’s; an art that beautifully captures her profound connection with nature and emotions. The memories of childhood—marked by the lush landscapes of her hometown, agricultural scenes, and the warmth and charm of rural life—profoundly shaped and nourished the artist, while allowing her to develop innovative and sustainable concepts.
The Air•Memory Collection pieces, like the long jacket on which the artist’s mother has repainted her hometown, mirror the intangible yet powerful connections that memory fosters, linking past, present, and future in a continuous dance of color and light.
During the creation of this season’s collection, I focused on exploring creative expressions across diverse cultural backgrounds, blending a wide range of inspirations into both the design and craftsmanship. This collection continues my commitment to detail and texture, while also venturing into new territory with fresh breakthroughs in form and structure. The “Supported by Dolce&Gabbana” initiative has played a crucial role in bringing this collection to life, providing essential resources and expertise. The Shanghai Fashion Designers Association, the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and stylist Katie Grand have also contributed guidance throughout the process.
