Men's Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Show

Vacanze Siciliane

“Sicily is the clue to everything.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Sicily is the starting point: the source and soul of a house whose creative expression has always been shaped by the island’s light, culture, contrasts and craft.
For Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Sicily is not a destination or a passing fascination, but a place of origin to which all are welcome.

In Spring/Summer 2027, that bond finds a new expression in
Vacanze Siciliane, a collection in which the island becomes both point of departure and creative horizon.

The story of a journey through Sicily, inspired by the 1950s and 1960s, revealing the island’s many facets between sea and stone, light and shadow. A distinctly Sicilian elegance emerges, poised between structure and spontaneity.

Running throughout the fashion show is a celebration of artisanal mastery, expressed through the careful selection of materials, fine craftsmanship, meticulous handwork, precious embellishments and a constant balance between respect for tradition, ongoing research and innovation. These defining elements weave through every theme of the collection, giving life to creations that embody Dolce&Gabbana’s vision of Italian excellence.

Sartorial soul

As one of the purest expressions of Dolce&Gabbana’s DNA, tailoring plays a central role throughout the Fashion Show, celebrating tradition while embracing a spirit of experimentation. The garments are the result of the brand’s signature aesthetic codes and exceptional craftsmanship, expressed through intricate techniques, precious embellishments and exquisite embroidery.

A key protagonist is the linen, and linen-blend, jacket, presented in both classic interpretations and styles that introduce unexpected elements through construction techniques and subtle details, often intentionally concealed. Among these are interventions on the back that enhance the garment’s sculpted silhouette, alongside details that recreate the appearance of a waistcoat, and a lapel fastening high across the chest.

The clean lines of the tailoring are frequently enriched with textured brooches inspired by the stones found along Sicily’s coastline. Reinterpreted as decorative elements, they are applied in unexpected places, from breast pockets to collars, adding a distinctive finishing touch to the looks.

The art of cutwork

Sicilian craftsmanship comes to life through the refined art of cutwork and Sangallo embroidery, techniques that draw inspiration from the world of traditional household linens. Shirts, trousers and pyjama sets featuring light, relaxed silhouettes showcase intricate openwork details that evoke curtains, tablecloths and decorative draperies, bringing a celebrated local craft to the runway.

Presented in both tone-on-tone variations and elegant two-tone combinations, Sangallo lace becomes an expression of artistry, celebrating authenticity, artisanal mastery and the enduring value of Italian know-how.

Knitwear: sophisticated weaves

An emblematic element of the collection, knitwear redefines the fashion show wardrobe, taking the place of the classic white shirt. New polo shirts, shirts and jackets become the symbols of a narrative that pays homage to craftsmanship and material experimentation through a continuous dialogue between heritage and research.

Crochet stitches and openwork effects find their fullest expression in leather garments crafted to visually reproduce the characteristic texture of knitwear. Ribs, stitches and intricate weaves appear to be created with yarn, yet are in fact the result of sophisticated leather and suede workmanship.

Silk also emerges as a recurring material throughout the collection, lending garments a refined allure and a soft hand feel. Solid-colour designs are interspersed with refined chevron and argyle patterns, alongside striped motifs that recall the swimwear of the 1950s, icons of Mediterranean holidays and the effortless elegance associated with that era.

The artistry of embroidery

Embroidery runs throughout the collection, emerging as a distinctive element that unites jackets, trousers, shirts, polo shirts, denim and footwear. Natural-looking stones in rich shades of blue and turquoise are combined with crystals, shimmering sequins and corals to create precious motifs, either placed with precision or arranged in freer, jewellery-inspired compositions.
An expressive language that highlights the importance of research, craftsmanship and meticulous handwork, giving life to creations enriched by intricate details and striking three-dimensional effects.

Prints: postcards and photographs

The prints featured on the collection’s T-shirts contribute to a visual narrative deeply rooted in Sicily and its most iconic landmarks.

A sequence of vintage-inspired images captures the island in its most authentic essence, echoing the concept introduced in the fashion show teaser: landscapes unfolding like summer memories, picturesque views and Mediterranean and folkloric inspirations. Postcards bearing handwritten messages, alongside prints of local citrus fruits, become decorative elements that evoke the holiday spirit at the heart of the collection.

Black-and-white archival photographs, views of the Ancient Theatre of Taormina and references to Byzantine mosaics complete this journey through the island’s imagery, transforming cultural and scenic symbols into distinctive decorative motifs.

All-white Finale

The final sequence of the fashion show brings a series of total white looks to the runway, defined by a lighter, more relaxed attitude that conveys an airy, holiday-inspired mood. Volumes become softer, fabrics lighter and the aesthetic more essential. Here, white evokes a luminous Sicily, expressing purity of form and a natural elegance that brings the collection narrative to a close.
Rolled-up shirts, relaxed jackets and trousers, T-shirts and the brand’s iconic ribbed tank tops define this radiant concluding sequence. It brings to a close a visual journey through Dolce&Gabbana’s distinctive themes and colours, beginning with Nero Sicilia—an expression of identity, intensity and refined richness of detail, where tailoring takes centre stage—and unfolding through prints, pastel hues and vibrant shades, from sea blues and turquoise to pistachio green and tones reminiscent of Sicilian granita.

Fashion show accessories

The bags featured in the Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Show combine functionality and sophistication, ranging from canvas and fine leather designs to Coffa bags crafted from natural straw. The My Sicily is reinterpreted in materials spanning from Odissea grained leather to more precious versions, including a striped woven raffia design embellished with crystals.
The collection also includes a new construction of the Lock Bag, presented in a variety of leather colours and finishes, alongside the DG Belt and canvas creations enriched with grained leather details.

The footwear selection includes leather lace-ups and loafers, among them the Ariosto and Erice styles, introduced with new wool-thread weaves that highlight the collection’s artisanal spirit and can be worn like a practically sock. Sandals draw inspiration from traditional Sicilian styles, reimagined through new constructions and distinctive stitching details. The embroidered Young Pope line, enriched with decorative stones, adds luminous accents and a striking three-dimensional effect.

The decorative inserts featured throughout the collection reappear on the belt buckles. Vibrant shades of deep blue, white, yellow, camel and aqua green enliven the accessories offering, enriched by textured surfaces and delicate colour contrasts.
